Zhou Bida [7197] His ancestors were Zhengzhou, Guancheng xian residents. His grandfather was Tongpan of Jizhou in the 1120's and settled in Luling xian. Wang Bao's [7086] son-in-law. Bida's elder brother, Biduan [3246], was the son-in-law of Cai Jing's [1649] grandson, Qu [3852]. Zhou Bida served in the state council from his appointment in 1180 until he was made prefect of Tanzhou shortly after Zhao Xiaozong [9011] abdicated in 1189 in favor of the heir apparent, who became Zhao Guangzong. This Zhou lineage seems to have been relatively unsuccessful in perpetuating its degree-holding presence in Jian after Bida's generation. This may be owing to the absence of numerous sons and daughters. Bida had one son, Lun, and one daughter (married to a Xiao), his cousin, Bizheng, only two sons, one daughter and two grandsons when he died at the age of 81 and Bida's younger brother, Biqiang, died at age 33 without any surviving children. Zhou Bida, WJ, 76.1a-3b (wife, born Wang, who married him at age 19 and died in 1203 at age 69); Lou Yue, WJ, 94.1a-25a. CBD, 2, 1468-1471.From Hartwell's ACTIVITY table:1180: Apt.
