Cai(1) Xiang [1651] His father-in-law was the son-in-law of Ge(2) Shengzhong's [7263] great granduncle, Weiming [3465]. He was Xie(1) Zhonggui's [729] father-in-law, Fan(2) Yu(3)'s [7028] grandfather-in-law, and the granduncle of Wang(2) Feng's [7374] mother. His sisters were both married to members of literati lineages (shizu). His mother was from Quanzhou, Huian xian. His son Min's [3864] fathers-in-law were Jia(3) An [449] and Wen(2) Yanbo [1953]. Pu [1656] has the same generational name as Tuan [7354] and the other sons of Min's son, Shen(2) [12023]. He was a friend of Ouyang(1) Xiu [1384]. Xiang(1)'s younger brother, Gao [3861], died at the age of 28. His great grandson, Guang [3863], used yin to enter the civil service and subsequently passed the law exams. Guang was concurrently prefect of Zhenjiang and Huadong zongling in 1171. Tuan's son, Kan [3860], also used yin to enter the service and subsequently earned the jinshi in 1166. His sequence of offices was Jingxi yunpan, Guangdong yunpan in 1179, Huaixi zongling, Huguang zongling, Hubu shilang, and between 1192 and 1195 he rose from Sinong shaoqing to Sinong qing.
