Zhang(1) Jiugao [3129] According to Zhu Xi, WJ, 95A.1a, Jiugao moved to Changan. His older sons, who earned degrees (juren) all held office in Guangdong (or Southern Fujian) as did Jiugao. Jiugao's son Kang(2) [12380] (q.v.) did not earn a degree (at least not in Shao Zhou), but he and his descendants all held offices in other parts of China. The evidence suggests that Jiugao moved to Changan with his 5th son Kang after Jiuling [3130] achieved high office and after his older sons had both earned degrees and attained government posts in Guangdong. Jiugao died in Changan. QTW, 355.6b-10b.
