Fan(2) Zhongyan [8043] Fan(2) Yu [3290], the fifth generation ancestor of Zhongyan, his elder brother, Zhongwen [7214] and their lineage cousin, Qi [3273] (Shidao's [581] father), held office in Su Zhou Ĭ{ at the end of the Tang and remained as a resident of Wu Xian d. Zhongyan moved to Henan, Luoyang Xian where he was buried. He was Chunren's [559], Chunli's [560] and Chuncui's [561] father, Zhengguo's [565] and Zhengping's [7212] grandfather, Shijing's [580] lineage granduncle, Shidao's [581] lineage uncle and probably Yinzhi's [590] great grandfather. Zhongyan was Zhirou's [7213] fifth generation ancestor and husband of Li(2) Changling's [974] niece. He was the father-in-law of Cai(1) Jiao [7068], Zhang(1) Wan [315], Cui(1) Baosun [7070] and Jia(3) Fan [7020] and grandfather-in-law of Zhang(1) Wan's [315] son, E(a) [4151]. Affinal relation of Teng(1) Gao [7349]. His daughter's [Zhang(2) Wan's wife] sons-in-law were Han(1) Lian [7230] and Song(2) Yinian [7345]. His collateral kin of the previous generation, Chi [3274], was Guo(1) Kui's [8072] son-in-law. Chi and Zhongyan's father had the same grandfather. Chi's grandson, Chuncheng [3275], used Zhongyan's yin to enter the civil service in 1143. Possibly kin of Lu(5) Shimin's [1287] father-in-law, Fan(2) Zhongmo [3278]. He was Teng(1) Zongliang's [1611] tongnianyou. The daughter of Li(2) Changling's [974] cousin, Li(2) Changyun [3472], was the mother of Xuzhou(c) resident Yan(4) Chongguo [4112]. Changling's son or nephew, Li(2) Yuqing(2) [3553], was the father-in-law of Yan(4) Chongguo's third wife. The fathers of Chongguo's first and second wives were respectively Huang(2) Zongdan [861] and Fan(2) Zhongyan [8043].
