Gao(1) Huanghou [11688] When her grandson, Zhao(1) Zhezong [9007] succeeded to the throne in 1085, she was made empress dowager (taihuang taihou) and, since Zhezong was young, she was made regent and retired the partisans of Wang(2) Anshi [1762] (tui Wang Anshi zhi dang) and used Sima(1) Guang [1488] and his associates, abolished the new laws and completed the good administration (zhi) of the Yuanyou period (1086-1093).
