Yang(2) Longyan [19613] See Giles, p. 911. He succeeded his brother, Wu [19612] (#1 son of Xingmi), when the minister, Xu(3) Wen [19615] (q.v.) had Wu assasinated. He was succeeded, in turn, by his younger brother Pu(2) [19614], who abdicated in favor of Xu(3) Zhigao, born Li(2) Bian [19629], subsequently adopted by Yang(2) Xingmi [4044] and then by Xu(3) Wen because Xingmi's sons became jealous. Xu(3) Zhigao took his original surname and mingzi and became the first ruler of the Southern Tang, Liezu. Although the sons of Xingmi, with the exception of Wu, are not numbered, I am treating Longyan as son #2 and Pu as son #3.
